How often should I test emergency lighting?

On a monthly schedule, in addition to the daily checks, it is imperative to conduct brief tests on all emergency lighting units to ensure they illuminate when the mains power supply is intentionally disconnected. Subsequently, upon restoration of mains power, it is crucial to verify the operational status of all mains healthy indicators. Comprehensive records of these test results should be documented in the fire safety logbook, and any identified faults, whether previously recorded or newly discovered, must be promptly addressed and rectified.
